After a bunch of emails and planning sessions we agreed on doing a collaborative effort of a Thillana. Aasai Mugam Unplugged sneak peak

Currently working on a rock/alternative version of the carnatic song Aasai Mugam. Drop me a message on my  Facebook Page on what kind of instrumentation you want to hear on that version. During my composition process recorded a small piece of the song with just piano and vocals creating an unplugged version with nothing else. See video below for this version. The performance was recorded live in my studio with no enhancements. Leave your feedback and ratings on my facebook or youtube page. More music coming soon. Keep watching this space for more updates shortly.

Raravenu Gopabala – Swaram meets Pachelbels Canon by enneume

Pachelbels canon in D maj is one the major compositions in western classical music. Consider it to be one of the most relaxing and soothing compositions of all time.  Students of classical music learn to play on this song when they begin their career. Similarly Raravenu Gopabala is one of the early songs taught to kids when they start carnatic music. I wanted to bring these two songs together in a composition and set out making it on a C major scale.

The end result is below.

And do check out Pachelbels Canon here.
